New! Weekend Service is now available for the Skokie Swift Yellow Line

Beginning Sunday, March 30, 2008 the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) Skokie Swift Yellow Line added weekend service. The CTA expects that by adding the additional service, public transportation will become more convenient for those who work or shop in the area and also reduce traffic congestion. The additional weekend service will be evaluated after six months to determine if it will become permanent.

Weekend Lane Closures on Edens Expressway

If your Friday or Saturday plans include traveling on the Edens Expressway/Interstate 94, you may want to allocate additional time to arrive at your destination, utilize public transportation or take an alternative route. IOWA Caucus – A Wonderful Experience

I was very impressed by the huge turn out at the precinct I was assigned to. I saw a number of elderly delegates on wheelchairs or with canes braving the cold and the icy sidewalks just so they could cast their votes. Talking to them, I could see the pride and excitement in their eyes. I wish those who take elections for granted could see this.
