Indo-American Community Services & Illinois Institute Plans Job Fair

Indo-American Community Services (IACS) and the Illinois Institute of Technology are organizing a job fair at the Illinois Institute of Technology's Rice Campus in Wheaton on August 28th.

 

The fair will features more than 20 "leading" employers including Alcatel-Lucent and EPIR Technologies.

Help with Your Resume

Beginning July 27th, David Millman will help job seekers with their resumes twice a week at the Skokie Public Library. 

 

Millman will be available on Tuesdays from 10am to noon and Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm. Millman will meet with resume writers in a study room on the second floor.  For a personal appointment, please sign up at the Reference Desk on the second floor. 

 

The appointments are for 30 minutes each.

The presentation begins with a DVD presentation by Col Ed Hubbard,

a former Vietnam Prisoner of War, to a huge, corporate audience. He was

imprisoned in Hanoi, Vietnam for 5 1/2 years. The talk reveals some of his

experiences during his captivity and what he learned about perceptions,

beliefs and the human potential to cope with adversity. A presentation

and discussion will follow, applying some of his ideas to ..... job loss and

 job search. The facilitator of the session will be Greg Harnyak.
