Live-in care in your home in the north suburbs of Chicago.

Flexible, affordable, in-home childcare provided by an 18- to 26-year-old male or female from a foreign country. All Cultural Care au pairs possess 200+ hours of previous childcare experience, and undergo a careful screening process. Only qualified candidates are selected for matching. Your au pair will live with you for 12 months with the option to extend for up to another 12 months. Au pairs must complete six credits of education at an accredited post-secondary institution during their program year. This program is regulated by the U.S. Department of State.

You set your au pair’s working hours according to your family’s schedule. They can assist you with light household responsibilities, such as preparing your children’s meals and helping them keep their rooms neat. An au pair can enrich your children’s playtime with international games, stories and activities.

Host families must be able to provide a private bedroom; be U.S. Citizens or legal permanent residents; be committed to cultural exchange and willing to welcome a young person from abroad as a family member; and be available to attend orientation meetings and family conferences. The average cost to host an au pair is approximately $340 per week.
