Healthy fun is coming to Skokie.  Participants will follow the Trail to Fitness road map and create their own healthy lifestyle by visiting the free fitness and nutrition classes and events throughout the community. 

 

This week, you can sign up at Skokie Library. Register at the table in the East Lobby during library hours June 14th through June 20th. If you've already signed up, get your roadmap stamped.

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Skokie/Lincolnwood/Morton Grove/Niles will start on June 11th at 6pm at Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton Street, Skokie; and will end on June 12th at 6am. 

 

This is a chance to celebrate the lives of those who have cancer and remember those who have lost their lives to this disease.  Teams of local businesses, schools, churches, community groups and families help raise money to support services for area patients and their families, cancer research, community educational programs and advocacy initiatives.

 

The Luminaria Ceremony, held just after dark is in memory for those who have lost their battle against cancer and to honor survivors and caregivers.

CJE Senior Life is offering FREE hearing screenings for those 50 and over at the Lieberman Center, 9700 Gross Point Road, Skokie. 

 

On June 10, screenings will be offered at Weinberg Community for Senior Living, 1551 Lake Cook Road, Deerfield, and on June 15 at Temple Sholom, 3480 N. Lake Shore Dr., Chicago, IL.
