Chute Middle School serves children in grades 6-8 from the Dawes, Oakton and Walker attendance areas. We believe that ALL students can learn, experience success, and aspire to academic excellence. We seek to provide a safe and secure environment that fosters sound social, emotional, and physical development; self discipline; critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning. We believe that these are the foundations necessary for students to become confident and productive citizens in a democratic and ever changing society.

Jane Stenson School is one of the three elementary schools in Skokie School District 68. About 300 students from kindergarten through 5th grade attend. Our students come from many ethnic backgrounds.
Grades 1 through 5
We pride ourselves on our strong academic programming which includes current best practices in the core content areas. Our program is comprehensive including regular Fine Arts classes in Music, Art and Drama. We also provide instruction to support all levels of learners including interventions for struggling students and an Extended Learning Program (ELP) for high achieving students. Our school is equipped with the latest technology to engage students in learning.
Lincoln Junior High serves 6th-8th grades with a diverse population of approximately 500 students and 60 staff members. We offer a curriculum of Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Physical Education, Applied Technology, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Art, Drama, Spanish, English Language Learner, Family and Consumer Science and Special Education programs.

As one of two premier magnet schools servicing the Evanston/Skokie community, King Lab Magnet School is considered an incubator of best practices with a special emphasis on Fine Arts integration. As a school, we embrace and appreciate cultural differences and unique learning styles.
The staff is equipped and prepared to deliver a relevant and rigorous curriculum supported by scientifically-based instructional strategies, innovative ideas, and cutting-edge technology – all of which enhances our ability to produce desired outcomes. Most importantly, the staff is very caring, committed, and passionate about every child’s schooling experience and their future endeavors.

At McCracken, we pride ourselves on being ready, respectful and responsible at all times. Our faculty is well-educated and dedicated, and your children will receive an educational experience like no other when they are here!
Aside from our strong and varied academic program, there are plenty of opportunities for students to get involved in school life. Whether it is playing in our award-winning bands, singing with highly regarded choirs, participating in the play, working on Science Olympiad, or engaging in an afterschool sport, McCracken students are well-rounded and enjoy their time here.
McCracken also is a community. Walking through the halls here gives you the feeling that everyone knows each other, and cares about each other. Our diversity is another aspect of the school of which we are so very proud. Students in our school speak over 50 different languages at home, and we pride ourselves in being welcoming and interested in every student (and family’s) background.

The program is primarily designed to serve working parents in our community. The program revolves around recreational and educational activities in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. Our goal is to promote social interaction, independence, self-esteem, creative expression, and problem solving skills among all children.
Curriculum: Recreational program; revolves around school calendar. Wide variety of activities including, but not limited to, active games, art, music, storytime, dramatic play, outdoor play, homework time, cooking, special event/theme days, parent/child family events, periodic walking field trips.
Daily afternoon snacks are provided. The SPACE program offers school-age child care on most of the non-school days, including a two-week winter break, a one-week spring break, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Teachers’ Institute Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the day before Thanksgiving, and Presidents Day. The resident rate for child care on non-school days is $42 per day and the non-resident rate is $52 per day.
Academic excellence is pursued with a strong emphasis on language arts, math, science, social studies, music, art, computer technology and Spanish in grades K-8.
Students accomplishments are recognized and applauded. Student awards include: A and B Honor Roll, perfect attendance, and "Student of the Week", which highlights good citizenship and responsible actions.
Grades 3 through 5
The Edison community is very culturally diverse. About 200 of our 500 students speak foreign languages at home and represent countries from all over the world. The Edison community works together to make people of all nations and backgrounds feel comfortable and welcome in our school. We are proud of our Edison Spirit!

The Walker School staff believe that the primary purpose of our school is to challenge each child to reach his or her fullest academic, creative, emotional, physical, and social potential.
