Starbucks Welcomes 1st SPL Book Deposit Collection!

Starbucks Welcomes 1st SPL Book Deposit Collection!

Right before the Thanksgiving holiday, Starbucks welcomed its first book deposit collection from the Skokie Public Library at its Skokie Swift location.

The stand holds twenty five books for customers of the popular coffee spot to pick up and read for their own enjoyment. Individuals are encouraged to share their own gently used paperbacks, or help themselves to one on the shelf. After reading, customers are encouraged to pass the book on to someone else.

Grab a coffee, hop on the train, and start reading!

Seen here standing is "The Viking" Roy Swenson, giving his report on outreach efforts in the community. Wife Linda Sargon Swenson is to the left. Greg Franks is on the right.
