Annual Teen Job Fair around the corner!

 

Each year Skokie Public Library holds a job fair for teens in the Mary Radmacher Meeting Room. The event is co-sponsored by the Skokie Park District. Teens participating in the Job Fair have an opportunity to get job hunting tips, meet with potential employers, pick up job applications, practice interviewing, and learn about volunteer jobs.

Olympic Medalist Scott Hamilton Stars In Skokie's "Superstars On Ice"

Skokie's 2010 "Superstars On Ice" will headline American Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton, now serving as an NBC skating commentator during the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

 

Hamilton brings his talents to the Skatium Ice Arena on May 18th and 19th for a showcase of champion skaters such as Kurt Browning, Sasha Cohen, Todd Eldredge, Irina Slutskaya, and Yuka Sato.

Singer Jack Miuccio Performs At Skokie Theatre Veteran's Benefit

Jack Miuccio's performances capture the vibe of the Rat Pack. He has opened for Frankie Avalon and Fabian, and sings regularly at the Tuscany restaurant in Oakbrook and Enzo's in West Chicago.

 

On January 23rd at 8pm, Jack headlines a tribute to veterans at the Skokie Theatre. Admission is free with a donation to the theatre's "vet ticket" fund.
