Skokie Village Center Apartments Accepting Applications

 

Anticipating future vacancies, the Village Center Apartments, a low-income subsidized senior citizen residence in Skokie, is soliciting resident applications for its the waiting list.

 

Prospective renters must be at least 62 years of age and must meet current eligibility guidelines and income limitations.

Join Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-9th) as she speaks today, September 7th, on health care reform at the North Shore Senior Center, 6140 Dempster Street in Morton Grove.

 

Schakowsky will also advise seniors on how to avoid new scams related to Medicare credit. She begins her address at 1pm.

 

A meet-and-greet reception will follow the presentation.

Skokie Native Creates "Speed Networking" Group For Professionals

 

When Shalom Klein set out to network in Chicago's Jewish business community, he quickly found out that a group like he imagined didn't exist. So Klein created Jewish B2B, a networking organization for those wanting to connect with the Chicago Jewish business community.

 

"There is really nothing like it in the Chicago area,'' Klein told Chicago Jewish News.

The Congresswoman brought in her staff from Washington, DC to connect them with agencies, institutions, and people in the area, and to make them more aware of the needs of the 9th District.
