Skokie Swift Track Improvement/Service Interruption Update

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) informs the Village of Skokie that during June 2008 it will replace track and roadway approaches at the Main Street, Searle Parkway and Kostner Avenue Skokie Swift rail crossings. In order to complete this work, CTA will suspend Skokie Swift service on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 for work on the Main Street and Searle Parkway crossings. Service also will be suspended on Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15 for work on the Kostner Avenue crossing. While the Skokie Swift service interruptions are expected to last two days, it also is expected that the crossings will be closed for an entire week.
