Emerson Street Bridge Closed Through October

Earlier this week the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) closed and began repairs on the Emerson Street (Golf Road) bridge over the North Shore Channel in Evanston. A detour route is in place, and motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid congestion. The repair work is expected to continue through October 2008.
