The Village of Skokie is proud of its multi-cultural community. People from every corner of the world make Skokie their home, and the countries and cultures represented in Skokie increase every year. The most recent combined report from Skokie’s school districts show that nearly 100 different languages and dialects, other than English, are spoken in our homes. The Village of Skokie is fortunate to have support from The Chicago Community Trust for outreach to our diverse community. Through its new Immigrant Integration Initiative, The Trust has provided the Village with funding for programs to assist Skokie residents who are new to this country and need assistance settling into the American way of life.
