The primary goal of the Early Childhood Center is to establish a foundation for learning in a warm and nurturing Jewish environment. Youngsters grow and develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Our philosophy is based on a developmental approach. The early childhood classroom provides an interactive environment that stimulates the different talents and abilities of each developing child. We encourage children to become independent learners, to explore their Jewish identity, to discover their environment, promoting personal creativity and expression. Play is an integral part of how children interact with people and with the materials in their environment. Children are engaged at all times in either speaking or listening or doing, and children have to do to learn, in both Hebrew and English. We promote a child-centered environment that addresses individual development needs; each child feels nurtured through his or her experience.
Children develop an awareness of the connection between the different disciplines. The integration of learning enables children to understand the world around them through art and music, reading and writing, speaking and listening. In this environment, children also experience the values of "midot tovot," the live of Torah, the Jewish people and Medinat Yisrael, as well as a commitment to the observance of mitzvot.

Our programs and activities are designated to foster all aspects of a child's growth -- social, cognitive, motor, and emotional development. This type of curriculum is unique as it allows the children the freedom to acquire knowledge at their own pace and expand their foundation with new information. Specific goals include the acquisition of social skills to enhance their interactions with their peers and adults, acquiring physical progress that will be perfected with age and acquiring experiences that will be the foundation for processing future information in an understanding way."

Large classrooms with private restrooms in each. State of the art commercial grade kitchen; all meals prepared fresh daily and are included in the tuition. On-site playground. Indoor gym/multi-purpose room.

The curriculum is based on the philosophy that young children learn through active exploration in an environment which is rich in materials and opportunities to play, socialize, converse, work, and negotiate with others.

The classrooms are planned to encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving in an atmosphere of warmth, affection and respect for each child.  Teachers plan experiences based on children’s interests and appropriate educational concepts.

Children may work individually or collaboratively, and may choose whether or not to participate in a project. Children are actively involved in experiences which include foundations of math, science, social studies, creative art, language arts, music, movement, and dramatic play.

All interrelated aspects of the child’s growth and development are considered – intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and creative.

Activities, experiences, and teacher-child interactions are constantly measured and evaluated in terms of the following program goals.

To provide an atmosphere which encourages within each child:

  1. Development of a positive self-concept
  2. Cognitive growth and development
  3. Small and large muscle development
  4. Growth of independence and self-sufficiency
  5. Acceptance and expression of both positive and negative feelings
  6. Emergent literacy development
  7. Growth of creative thinking and problem solving
  8. Respect for the individuality and rights of others
  9. Positive ways of interacting with peers and adults
